The one thing I would tell my 16 year old self

Since I was wayyyy younger, I have always been curious about life, human's purpose, "the path," and "the point," or whichever way you may call it. Other people refer this search of concept as the search for the "meaning of life."

Now that I am (gosh) wayyyyyyy older, I have to say, things may not be that easy, although everything is actually quite simple -- hmmm, uhmmm, okay, maybe not that simple, but at the least, I would like to believe that there is a way...

I would agree that truly, everything is about perspective. The world is within us, our brain, our thoughts; it is basically anything or which ever way we understand or make sense of anything. I know this content seems to sound super deep in thought, but I also know that such thought is quite essential in life and our existence, if one aims for quality of living and a sense of fulfillment, that is.

I believe that everything in life is a paradox, a yin-and-yang concept, a balance of pros and cons. I also understand this scribble of words seems quite cliché, but hey, if you asked me of one thing that I would tell my 16 year-old self, this is it... (Keep reading and I certainly hope you are quite inclined with my sharing. I, too, am curious of what your thoughts are.)

Self-Love and Self-Awareness

There is nothing greater than starting with oneself in the matters of love, acceptance, and awareness of self.

Firstly, I would start with embracing and learning how to love myself. There is nothing greater than starting with oneself in the matters of love, acceptance, and awareness of self. I cannot emphasize this enough.

If I were to coach anyone (and I mean anyone -- no matter the age, background, or type of being), I would start with the #SELF, and therefore, one's inner #MIND. This first concept (gosh again) would probably another or separate post by itself to speak in-depth.

Stay tuned :) #selfawareness #selflove #authenticity #leadership #selfleadership

The Power of Consistency and Movement

I highly recommend and believe in the power of energy in motion, giving much emphasis on the word as E-motion...

Secondly, I would encourage #MOVEMENT! I highly recommend and believe in the power of energy in motion, giving much emphasis on the word as E-motion -- emphasizing, Energy in motion, which all in all, affects our emotion -- literally and psychologically speaking.

I am grateful to have grown up with parents who valued quality time not only socially, but also physically and psychologically. My siblings and I grew up spending time with nature, engaging in indoor and outdoor exercises -- activities that were both for fun and as a routine or habit creation. Later as an adult, I learned from one of Oprah's shows highlighting that routines can truly get you out of "the dump" when you are depressed or down. There is, indeed, happiness in applying consistency with movement, from making one's bed (an activity of which I note as my first daily accomplishment, LOL), to meditating or performing a breathing exercise (no matter how quick or short of a duration) prior to sleeping. Everything counts to a great day's sense of fulfillment. With such practice, no day is a zero day.

Keep on trucking; keep on moving. Just keep going. Do not let anyone stop you. Do not ever let anyone or anything dim your light. Better yet, create your own sunshine, one step at a time. #emotion #emotionalintelligence #movement #consistency #motivation #meditation #workout #fitness #nutrition #neuropsychology #bodyandmind #bodyandsoul #mind #body #spirit #soul

The Power of Consistency and Movement

I recommend that we have (1) a support system, (2) a mentor circle, and (3) a sponsor network... Can you tell the difference among those three?

Thirdly, we are all social beings and life is way too short not to share excitement and growth in life without the support of others who may even help us learn the easier way.

Why learn the hard way? Why not save a decade of your life and achieve that career goal you have always wanted? And how do we do this? I share my checklist of 3 major groups of contacts in my life space. In anyone's social circle, I recommend that we have (1) a support system, (2) a mentor circle, and (3) a sponsor network.

Can you tell the difference among those three? Gosh, yes - this is going to be another post in and of itself. Stay tuned!

Staying Present and Starting Movement Now

So, here is the challenge (of which I would like to say an exciting one); let us start today -- meaning, here and now.

We all start somewhere. I hope this article keeps you going at least starting from the concepts or the thought of it all. The mind never stops to amaze me. I just know that whatever we are able to think about, we are able to make happen.

If there is no action, however, being stuck at my 16 year-old self (as scary as that may sound) can considerably become a reality. Taking action without delay is crucial.

So, here is the challenge (of which I would like to say an exciting one); let us start today -- meaning here and now. And yes (if it is of any comfort), to start with, thinking or planning in preparation of what to do next significantly counts. Any sense of anticipation about anything will matter big time! It is all about the power of now.

So, you ask, what is my answer to the word "purpose?" I say, I simply want to become better than yesterday. I simply focus on becoming the best version of my current self and share life and joy with others as much as I can. Such thought is my way of expressing gratitude to the life I have been given. #thankful #grateful #blessed #stayingpositive #thriving #together
