01 Material Controller - Delta, BC Canada

Do you have excellent computer skills, warehouse work experience and high attention to detail? Check out this exciting opportunity to join the maintenance, repair and overhauling team in the aviation industry.

 

This position is a fixed-term temporary 6-month employment.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include

  • Shipping of modules, shadow boxes, piece-parts, and commercial goods to vendors

  • Pre-receiving and receiving of modules, shadow boxes, piece-parts, commercial goods to from vendor and updating of applicable files

  • Kitting of Common Hardware for required modules per schedule

  • Parts Issuing

  • Monitor priorities per the engine schedules and ensure “in time” material supply to both the production floor and the Accessory shop

  • Manage “Material Return to Stock”

  • Truck driving – transport goods and their related documentation as directed

  • Execute Marshalling and push-outs processes per schedule

  • Engine shipping and receiving

  • Perform general warehousing functions including managing empty shadow boxes and rejected material

  • Conduct inventory counts as required

  • Other projects and duties as required (multi-tasking), and must have the ability to effectively carry out the duties of the position with a minimum of supervision

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education

  • Minimum typing speed of twenty (20) words per minute

  • Possess a valid provincial Class 5 Driver’s license

  • Working knowledge of the standards, practices, methods, materials and equipment used in providing material handling and delivery services

  • Certified (and recertification required) receiving procedures, shipping procedures, dangerous good shipping, WHMIS and related MSDS documentation and forklift operations

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all internal and external contacts

  • Proficient in ECMS, Internet, Microsoft Office, SAP and other computer systems

 

02 GTE Apprentice (Gas Turbine Engine) - Delta, BC Canada

Do you have excellent mechanical aptitude and have you completed a recognized Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or Gas Turbine Engine (GTE) educational program? Check out this exciting opportunity to join the maintenance, repair and overhauling team in the aviation industry.

 

This position is for a full-time permanent employment.

Responsibilities:

The Apprentice is responsible for learning about disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on gas turbine engines and aeronautical components/accessories. Typical duties and responsibilities include implementing work plans by following instructions from various sources, using test and measuring equipment to carry out work, recognizing and reporting defects on parts, assemblies, engines, and accessories, certifying correctness of work and performing preliminary inspections, raising and creating repair documents and ordering parts.

Requirements:

Candidates for GTE Apprentice:

  • Must have completed a recognized AME or GTE course or equivalent entry qualification.

  • Must have mechanical aptitude.

  • Must have knowledge of engine components/accessories.

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills, organizational skills and cooperates well with others

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

 

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Coordination and Communication Skills

  • Teamwork and Leadership Skills

 

Problem Solving and Decision Making Technical Skills:

  • Maintenance Policy Manual or Familiarity with applicable Aviation Maintenance Standards

  • Technical Knowledge of Metallurgy

  • Familiarity with Aviation Maintenance/Service Bulletins

  • Familiarity with Aviation Materials/Supplies and Manufacturer's Standard Practices

  • Proficiency with Applicable Forms and Records

  • Technical Knowledge of Mechanical Drawing

 

Inspection Procedures Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Windows Applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • SAP

 

The selection process will consist of an interview and skills assessment.

 

NOTE: APPRENTICES ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW STANDARD ROTATION ON WORK SHIFT SCHEDULES. THOSE UNABLE TO DO SO WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM THE COMPETITION.
